Eligibility

All Malaysian citizens & permanent residents are entitled to 1 Basic Savings Account and 1 Basic Current Account per banking institution
No introducer required

Required Identification documents:

MyKad (Malaysian citizens)
Passport and PR card (Non-Malaysians with Malaysian PR)
One valid proof of residential address in Malaysia (e.g. utility bill, bank or credit card statement, mobile or internet subscription invoice, Quit Rent, stamped tenancy agreement)

Things you should know

Initial deposit: RM500
Service charge or maintenance fee: Half-yearly account fee of RM10 will be waived if average credit balance of more than RM1,000 is maintained over 6 months
